Throughout each day, different combinations of team members are involved in hill running, mountain biking, road biking, swimming and sea kayaking. As well as the physical challenges, tricky navigation and complicated logistics exercise the competitors' brains, but each evening the race stops in a local community for a big home-cooked meal and a welcome night's rest.
