  Race Director this year is our own favourite Joe Faulkner, ably assisted by wife Lindsey who helps with his other events. Joe has experienced the Heb and a wide range of other events, too, over a number of years, as competitor and as organiser/helper. More

  Stef Sargent

  Stef created the Hebridean Challenge in 2000/01 with LAMM organiser Martin Stone. She has been its driving force since then. She is a member of HM Coastguard Stornoway Cliff Rescue Team and works as a teacher in a local school. More

  Gavin Earons

  Gavin has lived on Lewis for over 22 years – during that time he has run or mountain biked nearly every inch of the whole island chain! He captained team Sula Sgeir in 11 of the adventure races there have been on these islands (the Heb and its predecessor event). More

• Sea Safety Officer

  

  Jeff Allen

  Jeff is a BCU Level 4 Coach (Sea). His kayaking experience includes two months paddling the west coast of Scotland, a six month long circumnavigation of Japan and another, last winter with three others around South Georgia. More
