A belated but none-the-less grateful and heartfelt thanks for being such a truly great bunch of competitors! We thought the spirit of the event this year was second-to-none and I, personally, am very, very grateful for your support and co-operation over all things financial! We would be very happy to see all and every one of you back again next year…

On which topic, expect some fairly radical (but we hope appetising) changes for next year: to be announced in Sept or Oct. Also, with reference to the entry fee: I’m getting Bill to put the 2009 form up on the site, as people are already enquiring about entry 2009!! We do have a couple of entries, so get your skates on when possible, as numbers will still be somewhat restricted. You’ll notice a price rise, I’m afraid, but it is as low as I could realistically make it and you’ll see that there is a reduction if you pay up before Nov 1.

Gavin is currently handling some results appeals -so if you still have those, or queries, please get them in a.s.a.p. I’m away sailing till around Aug 15: I do have the mob but there is not a signal everywhere, as you doubtless found out! My elder daughter Victoria is holding the fort, if you ring the house.

Lost property: I don’t have any of the things mentioned (e.g. Pyro’s green jacket) but I do have, for example: a lady’s Columbia jacket; a small pair of binnox very good, happy to keep those!!;part of a heart monitor; a Wynnster pack-a-mac thing in its bag; an enf energy t-shirt with Pudsey bear emblem!!! I know that Jane Nash from Shelterbox also has some stuff so if you’re missing something dear to your heart, let me know (keeping in mind that you might have to wait a little while!) and I’ll try to reunite you with your beloved!

Also note that I now have both Heb t-shirts and Buffs. If you’d like either, please send a note and cheque to the house, stating what you’d like and enclosing a small, relevant donation for postage if possible, please. I’ll send out orders when I get back.
